The pounds will not go

I am 5' 21/2" and weigh 120lbs. I had gotten down to 109lbs then I started running, since then I have gained and cannot loose any lbs! My clothes size hasnt changed so I am sure I can account for extra leg muscle from the running but I really would like to see that 109 on the scale again and keep it there. I run 3 days a week(I am marathon training so Saturdays are over 10miles), I do strength training 3 days a week, and rest on Sundays. I eat my calories in good for me foods and not junk(for the most part) i try to keep high lean protein in take and good for me carbs. Any suggestions or comments on how I can loose while still running? I dont want to loose musle I want to be fit and tone but at 109 not 120. The less I weigh the less weight I have to carry for 26.2 miles but I dont want to be one of those way to skinny runs to many marathons back to back runners.

just keep doing what you are doing. Maybe I should take a look at your diary.. but it sounds like you are doing everything right. The last pounds are hard to lose =]0

actually, you need more protein in your diet. I see the past few days your average is around 30 grams a day? That is not even close to enough. I am for 100 grams a day, especially if I workout. You need to eat more protein if your training for a marathon... but also you need to eat carbs to burn off during your workouts. I would say to up your calories honestly. I eat around 2000 a day (buring around 750 a day), and I am still losing. When you train hard, your body needs fuel...0 -
I see a lot of processed foods, not enough protien every day and (diet) pop. I would try more of a "clean" eating plan.0

if you can wear the same clothes at 120 that you wore at 109 then why on earth do you care if the scale says 120 or 109? that means you added muscle and probably look way better at 120 with muscles than you did at 109 without.0

You need to eat more and increase your protein intake. You should be eating close to the calorie goal that MFP gives you each day including eating to replace most of the calories burned through exercise. Also, aim for .5 to 1 gram of protein for each pound of lean body weight. If you do these two things you will likely see the weight start to go down again.0

You probably have too much sodium in your diet. This means you are retaining water. The weight is probably water weight you are seeing. Also, drink more mater, less soda. Diet soda, even though it has 0 cals. studies have found that people still gain weight from drinking it too much. It has to do with the amount of sugar in your diet. However you are probably doing just fine, the Scale lies, FYI. There is a great article about how it lies, called: Why the Scale Lies. You can google it if you want. 2 nights ago I weighted 10 lbs more then I do today. I believe it was all water retention. Water retention will mess with your head, that is why it is better to go by measurements then weight. Also, muscle weighs more then fat. Keep it up. You sound like you are doing fine. Just drink more water and don't worry too much about the weight, your body will even itself out.0

I drink a protein shake most days but not all and I am much better with meat eating than I used to be...im just not a big fan in fact Im not a fan of many foods at all that are good for me thats what makes this sooo hard to eat "clean" plus its so much more expensive!0

With my running I dont have to watch my sodium so closely especially with running in this TX heat of over 100 degrees!0
