Hi all,
My wife and i found this site about a week ago and so far we both love it. Something about the site is addicting, it helps make weight loss part of your entire life instead of someting you only think about at meal time when checking calories.
I am actually currently doing a diet as a lead up to having a gastric bypass surgery in a few months, trying to develop some habits now that will help me after the surgery. I have a lot to lose, I would like to get down to 200 pounds (212 pounds to lose) and then decide how much further i want to go.
Feel free to add me, I appreciate the support and will do my best to reciprocate with support.

I've only been on here a couple of days, and I completely agree! The food diary is a brilliant idea and it's so easy to use... it's really opened my eyes to what I actually put into my body. I'm glad yourself and your wife are finding it a useful tool to weight loss, the community is so supportive here, I'm really pleasantly surprised by how encouraging and motivating everybody is!0

Hi and welcome to MFP!! I love to see couples doing this together, it makes it so much easier, and so much different than a diet. The support and tools here are so amazing, and I find myself anxious to sign on in the morning, not only for the accountability, but to also see what each of my amazing friends is up to!! :happy:0
