After taking most of my loved ones advice, i lowerd my goal from 2lbs a week to 1lb a week and it shooted up my calories from 1200 (which was hard enough) to 1,650 Calories / Day... I know some of you may not understand but I don't eat much, not that im starving myself I just am not hungry most of the day because of the medication i am on, i do eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and most of the time snack in between. I exercise 3x a week..but how do i get my calories up?

Are there some healthy fats in your diet? Like nuts of different kinds, avocado or oils? That may help, and are essential, believe it or not. If you can avoid the hydrogenated and saturated fats in favor of healthier fats that might help.

Do you like/allow carbs? To each their own, but I can pile on the calories w/ carbs if I've eaten all of my fruits/veggies etc :)

nuts, avocado, peanut butter, in moderation, because they also have some fat, albeit good fat. I've also heard suggestions of adding some olive oil to various dishes. If i'm way low on calories for the day I'll have some raw almonds, though I have to admit it doesn't happen very often. :P

That says it all right there. Monounsaturated fats aka plant-based fats are a good route to take in that regard, plus they have the added benefit of burning belly fat. Avocados, olives, seeds and nuts, and even dark chocolate! Just remember, moderation!

If whatever medication your on is messing with your appetite it could also be slowing your metabolism. Have you talked to your Md about what to be able to expect in terms of weight loss?

Most of us who are watching our weight have a tendency to eat foods that have "light", "lite" and "low fat" in the name. Exchange these for "regular" versions of the foods and you'll easily add calories without adding any more food. As other posters have stated, fat is really not our enemy.
