Does it help to go without eating bread and other wheat products when on a diet?

It depends on the person. I get leaner when I limit my carbs. My avatar is pretty much going 30 days without bread and doing Insanity the Asylum. I got the leanest I've been.
However, I love bread and it loves me. I try to eat only Multi Grain breads.

I tried it before, but all it made me do was crave carbs and go on a huge binge day after day.

I include whole wheat or full grain breads in my diet, but limit it up to 6 servings per day, based on the food guide. In my opinion, I wouldn't because carbs are your body's fuel source.

it is good to go without white bread, but you need 100% whole grain wheat bread.. the more grams of whole wheat the better!! never get white bread.

if that's what it takes to get you to eat in a calorie deficit.

It's certainly a lot easier to eat 500 calories of bread than 500 calories of chicken.
