MFP app to site

I've been using the MFP app for almost a year but haven't moved to the site until my friend and I started using the friend capabilities on the iPhone app. I'm looking to take a realistic approach to being healthy without limiting what I can eat but being realistic. No longer will I consume SIX rolls at Texas Roadhouse, but maybe 2. I'm also exploring the joys of gym life. I'm not a natural runner but have enjoyed using the treadmill and exercise walking. However, using the workout plan the treadmill creates I have started to run when it gets to 4 MPH. I'm finding little accomplishments in my workout are making me feel really great, though I have yet to lose weight. I don't know the next steps to get my weight training to be more effective or ways to incorporate more healthy options into my diet. Hopefully this is where MFP will be helpful. I also use FitFanatic to track my workout information and chart trends. Always looking for new technology to make my workout better.
