My first big NSV

So, there is a railtrail near my house, for those of you that don't know what a railtrail is, its an old railroad track that they take up the tracks and leave the trail for walking, runnning, and biking, well you get the point... http://www.wachusettgreenways.org/WG Trail Map.htm I do number 3..

well, I turn around at 30 minutes no matter where I am on the trail... Well Monday, I made it the whole way. The above link says 3 miles, but it is really only 2.75 according to google earth and a couple other people with GPS... but either way. it was a good feeling to do the whole trail for a change instead of turning around before the end.

63 minutes round trip. I don't know what I will do if I speed up the pace and finish it under an hour as thats the time I have alloted for the run... guess that will be my next NSV adventure...

Welcome!

    Go you!!!

We have a ton of railtrails around my house... I love them because they are more shaded than running on the road.

I love rail trails more then tread mills. On a treadmill you can stop at any time, on a rail trail, if you run 2 miles, you still have 2 miles to go just to get back to the car.
