So, here I am, about to begin week 7 tonight - which I believe is 3x 25mins runs.
This is the ONLY thing I have managed to stick at over the last couple of months and I'm really enjoying it.

The smile on my face when Laura announced "I now consider you a runner" at the end of week 6, run 3 was quite a biggen !!!

As there are only a few weeks left, just wondering where to go after here - any tips on a 10k app (I notice none are free). I would really like to keep progressing as if all I'm going to do is the same thing each week, I know I will end up giving up !! xx

    Congrats on getting so far!

I've only been running for 2.5 months, so not much longer than you and never did the C25K, so I don't quite know the program, but you can nail this 25min run! Just keep it slow and steady!!

I myself just ran...usually intervals, but yesterday ran 4 miles in 46:00 and didn't stop once!

The best way to keep progressing is to do a bit of sprints and speed work...and do some endurance, just slowly increase your distance by NO MORE than 10% each week, and that's total miles for the week mind you.

I didn't know of any training for a 10k, I just ran one on the 4th, and ran it in 75:48...not the best, but not bad for 6 weeks of running.

But just keep it up, running is AWESOME!!

I completed the C25K program and I also loved it. I was never any kind of a runner before this program and was very surprised that I stuck with it. Once I completed the program I just ran a couple days a week. Usually tried to up my speed and complete in a faster time and added on distance as well. There is a program for the 10K available on line and I've seen the breakdown of it. I don't plan on anything longer than a 5K so I'm sticking with that for now. Basically just running for exercise and BECAUSE I CAN ACTUALLY RUN NOW! :)

    Great job on your running!!

Hi there, I just completed Week 9/Day 1 yesterday, and like you, can't get the grin off my face!! I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it! I'm still quite slow, and estimate that it'll probably take me about 38 minutes to do the full 5km, so I'm planning to concentrate on getting the distance for a couple weeks after completing C25K. Then, I plan to do Bridge to 10K, which is the follow on to C25K. I think this is a free app - you might need to Google B210K.

Good luck with your last couple of weeks, fellow runner :o)

So I just completed W7D1 last night, and when I am done with C25K, I plan on doing the bridge to 10K. I never considered myself a runner, it was always to hard and I hated it. But I figured if I can do a 5k and actually look foward to running that I should move on to something more challenging.
