Obsessing over weight.

I am very excited about joinging this mfp. However with that said I am obsessing over my weight and over weighing myself every morniing. I have only been on track for only a few days(6) however every morning I can't get my contacts in fast enough to see my progress. The bad thing is I am losing every sing day. Even if it was .6lbs like yesterday, I am seeing a change and I'm sure I am going to beat myself up the day I see no change. I know I shouldn't complain but am I the only one like this?

You will not continue to lose every day after the initial "big loss" we all have in weeks 1 and 2. By obsessing you are setting yourself up for failure when you see the normal ups and downs of every day weight fluctuations (or the weeks where there are no losses- it happens to most of us at some point). I weigh daily to keep myself on track but I am OK with the fluctuations and expect them.

Step away from the scale and pick one day a week to weigh-in. If not, you are going to drive yourself nuts.

I weigh myself pretty frequently, too, but I only *count* one weigh-in per week (same day, etc.). It gives me, for example, a pretty good idea of how different my weight is from evening to morning. Nothing scientific about all this - it's just interesting to me.

That said, you may want to try to go a day without. Perhaps just weigh yourself every other day. You're right: you will not continue to lose every day. BUT, if you can understand this and not get discouraged when the loss starts slowing down, you'll be alright.

Welcome to MFP! It's been an incredible place for me and many others.
