How do you do more?

I have stopped see results with my workout routine. I know I need to do more, but mentally I haven't been able too. Anyone have any tricks or tools that have helped them push themselves further?

Change your routine. Don't do anything similar to what you have been doing- if youre walking then run, skip anything but walk <- just an example. Are you a member of a gym? Go to some fitness classes, it will give you something to look forward to and you never know what the instructor will incorporate that day :) Good Luck!
  • Try varying your workout, as after a while your body gets used to doing the same routine and will not burn as many calories. For example, try cycling instead of running. Just generally change it up. Also, if you're not enjoying your workout you will not be psychologically motivated to do more, so find an activity/class that you really enjoy!

Why do you want to do more?

Often the reason for hitting plateaus is because you're already doing too much and not giving yourself enough rest.

Try taking a week off, or cutting it back with extra rest days. The time allowed for additional recovery will allow you to come back stronger in your program.

I don't care about the weight so much as I do about the adding muscle and losing inches.

What is your weight loss goal per week. As you get closer to your goal and your BMI comes down, you need to decrease the number of pounds per week you are looking to lose. Here is a good guide http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/61706-guide-to-calorie-deficits?hl=guide+to+calorie+deficits You may need to reduce your weekly goal which will result in eating more calories.

After taking a look at your diary, I would try increasing your protein levels.
