Hi myfitness family!! I'm overwhelmed with the different types of fitness monitoring systems out there. I'm just beginning my fitness journey and would like the help of a fitness monitor to help me keep track of calories out since I monitor my calories in with myfitnesspal. The bodybugg, fitbit, body media, polar watches...etc. I work in a warehouse and move around alot and alot of lifting so I want something that can track my activity and calories burned at work. I walk/jog/run after work so I need something that can track distance and calories burned and hopefully speed as well. I would like something that works all day and I can leave on. Which would suit me best? I know alot of people on myfitnesspal have different monitors so I know you are all the right ones to ask.
Thank you for any advice you have.

Well it sounds like you got some conflicting things going on here... so let me sort them out the best I can.

For something to wear all day, your going to want bodybugg/body media fit. Those are made to be worn all day, but they are expensive plus there is the monthly fee to work it. I'm not sure if any of these track distance or speed.

To track distance and calories burned you'll need an HRM that has a GPS in it, plus a calorie counter. Polar FT60 does all of that.. but you can not wear an HRM all day as they are only designed to work when your heart rate is elevated and not when you are doing day to day activities like work and stuff.

I honestly wouldn't worry about tracking calories at work too much.. I'd be more inclined to track during an actual workout, then I would my job.

I wouldn't track work just change your settings to maybe very active.I have a polarf4 with chest strap and it's wonderful. It also can be used in pools while swimming it tracks calories burned also

I did a lot of reading before I purchased an HRM, and they aren't for "everyone" I realize...
I chose the Polar brand and got the FT4 model WITH chest strap (the chest strap is reported as much more accurate)...
The FT7 model that is also available will hook up to your computer to track your calorie burns, etc. but didn't see myself using that because of MFP so I chose against it...

I love my HRM (Heart Rate Monitor)... It says I burn more calories then the machine, but less than what MFP says and I DO lose weight when I stick to the HRM numbers so :) For me - I LOVE IT!!!

Queen also uses it I see so :) yay
