Excercise to supplement 30DS...

I'm currently on day 3 of 30DS... I've swam for two of those days to burn some extra cals. I want to go to the gym too a couple of times a week - is this recommended and also what kind of 1hour exercise routine would you reccommend to work well with the shred? I'll continue to swim a few times a week but any suggestions or ideas would be great! :)

    When I did shred, I incorporated Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, walking, hiking, biking and 6 week abs (of course varying the exercise depending on my mood! :) I think you should pick somethings you enjoy doing and go for it. Right now I am doing the Ripped in 30 and I still incorporate the above exercises.

    I did the same thing......Felt like i wasnt burning enough and it will probably help you shed more inches. I lost 2 inches off my waist!!!

    Hm I love Step aerobics, it is low impact but very high intinsity if you go at it. It makes me sweat, great loud music keeps me going to. I love cathe friedrich dvd's she is hard but good and fun. I just did over an hour of one of her dvd's yet it felt like it was over fast.

    I kept up (am keeping up) my regulars/faves while I do the Shred.

    spin
    pilates
    yoga
    some strength

    checked out a zumba class too.

    use the eliptical, bike or treadmill for extra cardio.

    I just try to keep it varied, not do the same activity 2 days in a row.....I'm taking longer than 30 days to do the shred because I took rest days and because I liked my other activities and wanted to keep them up. so I don't do shred on a day I do spin cuz that'd be crazee! but I'll hit the eliptical for another 30 minutes.

    I aim for 60 minutes of exercise a day.
