So giving up the wine has made you feel bloated???

I just KNEW it would be a bad idea to cut back!! :drinker: :drinker:
  • Sabes...I just wanted to comment on how amazing your abs look in your profile pic! Good work! (Sorry - a little off the wine topic, but everyone can use a confidence boost)! :drinker: cheers to that! ha

How did I know Shannon would have posted on this

I only drink on the weekends too:drinker: But I heard one glass of wine is actually good for you. Is there something else that could be causing the bloated feeling?:ohwell:

ONE glass of wine is beneficial, if you went over that, its probably causing the bloating.
If you are having one glass, try to follow up with a glass of water before bed.
    Usually alcohol makes you pee.

Also, giving up some of the things you love/like is what makes diets, or in mfps case, lifestyles fail.
Maybe cut back to half a glass if you stuck to the one glass rule.
    Its all about learning here.
    I hope thats helpful.
Giving up might make you crave it and lead to using it more later on.
Its the same as some of our fav foods we know are bad for us.
instead of having a pack of m&m's or chips, I try to limit to a serving size or less, and then I can enjoy them longer for more days to come.

    So here here!:drinker:

  • I love my glass of wine in the evening. I have had to switch to a very small wine glass though. It only holds 3.5 oz and even if I have two glasses, it's only amounts to 7 oz total. Beats two glasses at 10oz each. Whew! That made mornings REALLY tough.

If I gave up my wine entirely, I don't think I would have any friends. I would be too cranky.

the gym has a bunch of ab machines... so when i work out, i always throw a set of random abs in somewhere... and then there are days that i only work on abs... 4 exercises 4 sets each...
it makes my back feel sooooo much better (fractured it in a horse fall last year)....

Is anyone going to tackle the subject of "how big a glass" I have a small, 3.5 glass before dinner while cooking. I don't go over my calories with it and I just love my little glass of Merlot or Shiraz:drinker:
