Body Composition and BMR test

Question for my MFP peeps . . . while on the cruise I had my body composition tested by some electrical impulse test. The numbers I got were really close to what I thought I was (Body fat percentage and such) . . . and it gave me a calculated BMR of 2040. So do any of you know how accurate that type of measuring is as far as the BMR? I am not exactly sure how it works and I haven't had much luck google searching it.
It also gave me a goal Body Fat % of 21 % and a goal weight of 181 . . . not sure why those numbers were so high, but I am guessing the goal weight would have to do with my current lean body mass.

I don't know exactly how accurate, but I've heard the electrical based tests aren't completely accurate.0
