Stand up paddle boarding

Has anyone tried Stand-up Paddle Boarding (SUP)? I am thinking of giving it a try. I really need to mix up my work outs so I don't give up. I heard it is great for strengthening your core. Can anyone tell me more? :happy:

    SUPing is so much fun! It gives your arms a great workout, but your core works really hard too (especially if you are on the ocean... more stabilization is required). It's really relaxing, and fun to to with others! Where I live I have to either go on a 'tour' with my local surf shop or trade off with my cousin (she bought one... it's more than 1,000 $$$!). But it's wicked awesome, fun, and a good workout!

    saw a bunch of folks doing that on my last kayak trip. it's GOT to be the best "just standing there" workout ever!

    I saw lots of people doing it while I was kayaking and they rent them with a lesson to for $20 bucks, so I think I am gonna go for it. Thanks.
