Help!!

I've fallen off the bandwagon.. I've not been doing as bad as my old ways, but I haven't been counting calories.. And I don't know if I should get on the scale, in case I've gained and scare myself back into shape (which would also be depressing) or what! My mom keeps bringing juice in the house, and it's a major weakness.. Half juice, half lemonade mixed.. And I've been eating too much.... Anyway, I need to be doing better.. Can someone help me? Be harsh if you have to! I don't want to undo all of my progress!

Stop letting food control you. your better than that. Tell your mom not to bring juice in. Or just get stronger and stop drinking it. Don't waste your life, to good for that.0

Here's Harsh...My niece was 250 pounds when she was 18. She lost and got down to a size 12, then immediately turned around and gained it all back. Now she weighs over 300 at 21. You do NOT want to be that person.
I spent most of my adult life being morbidly obese. After losing 100 pounds at about age 42 or so, I am having the best time of my life and my biggest regret is that I did not do it sooner. Its easier when you're younger. Easier to lose it and easier to keep it off. Don't keep putting it off.
Most 18 year old's favorite phrase is "I'm an adult." You're an adult. Make your own decisions about your health. Your mom can bring the juice in, but she isn't making you drink it. It is wasted calories. Eat an orange instead. At least you will get the fiber. You can do this and I am BEGGING you...do it while you are young. I missed out on so much. And I am watching my niece miss out on so much.
Also, tracking calories is really important. I love cereal. I had a bowl of Kashi Heart to Heart (2 cups), Rice Milk, and a handful of raw almonds one day. I had been eating it a couple nights a week. I found out later when I added it all up, I had eaten nearly the equivilent of a 4 pack of Reeses. Know what you are eating!

Today was much smoother. Under my calorie goal (1200 consumed), had plenty of water, and NO juice. I feel great!0

Good job! Just one day at a time! You've got this. You are courage to come here and ask for help. That shows how much you REALLY want to get and keep control of your diet. Continue being brave against the juice monster that haunts you (we all have something that haunts us)! Take care and keep posting updates! Way to go!!0

Thank you. I have a weakness for meat, too. But.. I figure it's alright as long as I am keeping track of my calories and fat consumption. The thing is yesterday when I logged on I was in pure disbelief when I realized that I hadn't done an entire log in TWO WEEKS! Who knows what kind of damage I have done! I think I need to do better for awhile before I step back on the scale..0

WE all splurge or have days where we eat/drink something we could do without. What makes the difference is that you don't go "oh, well, guess I'll just give" and go back to your old routines, but that you try to make the next meal or snack better. You drank some juice, such is life. Now it's time to pick yourself up and push the juice away!
