Can someone explain calorie shifting to me?

Options
I posted another board a little while ago and someone mentioned calorie shifting when I mentioned I wasn't losing any weight doing 1200 calories and 45-60 minutes of exercise. I'm 5'3 and female so myfitnesspal has me set at 1200 calories and I don't eat back exercise calories because I'm usually full after my 1200. I get the basics of calorie shifting (eat a dif amount of cals each day) but I didn't know how to figure out a decent cycle of calories for myself. I just kind of came up with 1200, 1400, 1600 and repeat but I don't know. help please?

I don't eat back all my exercise calories (usually they end up being between 360-420) because I'm not hungry enough to but I probably eat back 100-200 of them.

You didnt ask my opinion ... but I will give it anyways. I dont know what you weigh ... but if you are exercising the reason why you are not losing weight is because you are not eating enough. You have to fuel the machine if you want it to work.
