What do you do with your whey protien? I am using it as a meal replacement because i am generally a busy person, but I am getting tired of the same thing everyday : 1c yogurt, 2scoop whey, banana or strawberries, blend it and there you have a smoothie.

Any other suggestions? I currently have chocolate because i grabbed the wrong container, but it's not super chocolaty.

I have chocolate also! I blend it with 1/2 or 1 cup of soy milk, and 1/2 cup of blueberries.

YUMMY PROTEIN BARS... i EAT THESE ALL THE TIME FOR BREAKFAST

    Protein bars:
    3 cups oat meal
1 cup + o - semi sweet choc chips (mini)
    1 cup + or - coconut
4 scoops chocolate or vanilla protein powder
2 scoops baking coco powder (use the scoop from the protein powder)
1 cup + or – nuts of your choice
1 cup applesauce OR 2 bananas smashed
8 egg whites ( or flax meal if you don't want them fluffy...
follow directions on box for egg substitute, I use flax seed meal)
1 large blob natural peanut butter (depends on how much you like it..
I use about ¾ cup original recipe calls for 2 TBS
    2 teaspoons vanilla

    MIX THE DRY INGREDIANTS WELL…
    MIX THE WET INGREDIANTS SEPERATLY
THEN MIX THE WET INTO THE DRY!
If the mixture is too moist you can add more oatmeal to get rid of the moistness.

Glob the mixture into a GREASED 9x13 or bar pan depending on how thick you want them.
Bake @ 350 for 20 min or until the tooth pick comes out clean.

I am not a baker my measurement so I always just dump the ingredients in until I think it is enough ECEPT for the flax seed meal to replae the eggs To much water can make the end result to moist, and I measure the oatmeal unless I add more…
I have made these by adding fruit, or taking out the chocolate or using bananas instead of apple sauce have even used molasses to make them a lil different. I even used to maple syrup to give them some sweetness once. DON”T BE AFRAID to adjust it to your likening.. you can only screw them up by over cooking them! ENJOY!!!

What is the nutrition count for this recipe?

    Thanks!
  • Vanilla protein powder in coffee is tasty (let the coffee cool a bit first or you'll cook it, yuck!).
A scoop mixed in to Greek yogurt gives you "cheesecake" - cinnamon, berries, almonds are all good additions to this.
I've never been a fan of flavors other than vanilla protein powders, so I really don't have any ideas for chocolate.
    Enjoy!

    Thanks!

this is super rough, but here is what I came up with. Everyone can determine their own calorie limit and portion control it depending on what they are baking in. I baked mine in a basic casserole dish (9x13). I determined I wanted mine to be 400 cals, so that's about 10 bars! (which is a nice amount actually!)

Total for the entire batch using as fallows:

    4tbl Peanut Butter
    1/2 c Peanuts
    5 scoops whey
    1 scoop cocoa powder
    1 c apple sauce
    1 c coconut
    1 c chocolate chips
    1.5 cup (8) egg whites
    3 c oatmeal

    cals-4100
    fat-190g
    chol-275mg
    sod-1615mg
    carbs-430g
    sugar-228g
    protein-206g

i just did the basics, didn't feel like doing all the vitamin %, i think those cover most of what people count. Again depending on what you choose to back it in you can determine how many bars you want out of it.

Just took mine out of the oven! Can't wait to taste them :)

    1/2 cup skim milk
4 oz cold brewed strong coffee
1/2 cup water (or ice cubes if coffee is hot and needs to be cooled. Do not add hot liquids to whey protien)
1 scoop ( 24 gms) chocolate protein. I use the brand Unjury, chocolate splendor

    Green protein
1/2 cup cut up raw kale
    1 cup water
1 packet favorite flavor Nectar protein. ( strawberry, carribean cooler, crystal sky,) Nectar protein adds variety to my protein drinks...
    1/2 cup ice cubes

If you have plain unflavored protein, then add a selection of favorite summer fruits and either lemon juice or orange juice..

I make all these in a blender.

Kale is so good for you

yeah I really like the fruity feel, a little more summery ! I will give the kale a try as well, Rachel Ray uses it a lot and I always see it at the grocery store but never think to get it!

I have been adding it to my milk and cereal in the morning too.
