Hi all....I'm new to this site; it was recommended by a lady on another messageboard that I frequent. I am hoping to lose about 60-70 lbs. I am an outdoorsy type person and I do love to work out....but, it's the motivation I seem to be lacking. :P When I was in the Army, I had no problem working out because, well, we had to do mandatory group PT (physical training), and I loved it. But, since I don't have a person to work out with, I tend to procrastinate, telling myself "oh, I'll work out tomorrow"...but "tomorrow" never gets here. It doesn't help that since I'm a full-time college student and participate in a number of student clubs, my schedule makes it difficult sometimes to find the time to squeeze in a work-out.

I'm hoping that, since this is the month of Ramadan coming up (which is the month of fasting for Muslims; we fast from dawn until sunset daily), I'll be up at 4am every morning, and I intend to take a 30 minute walk every morning after I eat my morning meal and pray. (I say that now....hopefully I can stick to it).

The woman who suggested you come here is a wise woman! I have been using MFP since the last week of December with excellent results! If you follow your calorie goals honestly, you can do it!

Best of luck to you. I was a skeptic until I listened to a wise lady (my wife!) who was very successful here and now we're both having success here. Feel free to send me a friend request if you are looking for support!
