Does anybody have any good water aerobic exercises besides just swimming laps?

I do water jogging. It can be done in shallow water (I have an above ground pool) and it's less jarring on my joints than running/jogging on a treadmill (which bothers my knees).

check out a water aerobic class to get some ideas

ones i can think off from my class are....

    star jumps x 20
jumping and tucking your knees in x20
holding onto the side and kicking your legs vigourously for 2 minutes
  • My husband and I go to aqua every sunday and our instuctor has us sprinting up and down the pool, its very hard work really gets the blood pumping,we also do star jumps and use foam dumb bells also wchich really works the arms, all in all we have a really good work out,I always feel worn out at the end!!!

    How deep is your pool?

If it is deep enough and if you're a confidant swimmer then simply treading water is a great full-body work out. Start timing yourself and see how long you can tread water. It's a great way to increase your swimming skills and burn calories without having to spend money on classes, equipment, or a trainer.

I do aquacize 2x a week at the local community pool. One is deep water focusing on strength and core the other is tabata. Galaxy watch tracks as aquacize but it doesnt pick up on MFP. Food and water is populating from the watch. But no steps or exercise. Is there a way to edit and just add the exercise manually and calories burned without entering a time.
