I want to start taking a good multivitamin but I don't really want to spend $30 on a bottle of 30 pills.

I read an article recently where they discovered most of the best one's were less expensive. I take the Kirkland (Costco brand) multivitamin. I think the bottle was around $15 and it has 300 pills.

This article will tell you some of the ones that have the nutrients claimed on the label.

My experience is you get what you pay for when it comes to multivitamins. The cheap ones don't usually absorb well and just get passed through your urine.

I'd go ahead and pay a little more. I've been using the mega men sport from gnc and my wife has been taking the women's version. They seem to be doing well. I think my last bottle was 15.00 on sale.
  • I got a Centrum bottle at Walmart for about 20 dollars (I think) and it has 200 pills.
  • I use Centrum Multivitamin/Multimineral.
I paid $15 for 100 but that was in an airport so I'm sure you can get a better price :]

I use Target brand adult gummy vitamins, about $7 for 90. I love them! I also buy Target brand nutrition bars, protein powder, and calcium supplements.

I have used Flinstones chewables and my iron level came up from 3 to 11 in a matter of months and they didn't upset my stomach like the others (an MD I worked with suggested it and said they work as well as any). My MD also wanted me to take seperate iron pills and threatened me with IV infusion if this didn't work...but the flinestones alone did the job.

Cheaper usually means lower quality, more fillers less absorption etc.
