I'm in Ontario, they sell them at T&T, it's an asian grocery chain. As for what they are, they're super low calorie tofu yam "noodles". Some people like them, some don't. I tried them and did not like them. If you manage to find them make sure you rinse them really really well before using them, they're packaged in a fishy smelling liquid.

I order them online from here: http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/

1-lb bags of noodles are about $3.50. I ordered 20 bags and the shipping was only $7 to Maryland! 0 calories noodles, they've become my favorite food. With steamed broccoli and my PB2 satay sauce (only 40 cal 1/4 cup, and it tastes like full-fat peanut sauce!).

I just posted it in another thread, but it's so good I want to share it again:

    PB2 Satay sauce

    1 box light silken tofu
    1.5 T splenda
    .5 t salt
    3 T PB2
1 t red thai curry paste
    1 t tumeric
    1.5 t chili garlic paste
    .5 t coconut extract

combine until smooth. Makes 1.5 cups.

You have to boil the noodles, don't just rinse them. They have no flavor at all after boiling and draining. They need a strong sauce like spaghetti or satay.
  • thanks! maybe i'll order some to try. we dont have any asian markets around here, or near by :(
Do you have to boil them or will rinsing suffice? I've trying to find som ehealthy foods that I can have in my dorm room that don't require cooking lol.
  • I see they have a few different types.. which do you prefer?
