I Tip My Hat to You, Cowboy

Hello MFPs. As some of you ladies might know there is a wonderful cowboy that has been roaming around these parts posting up inspirational notes for us all to read and for us to indulge in. He's been making all of us feel incredible with those bursts of encouragement, and I wanted to also do such a thing through the tool of poetry.
"I Tip My Hat to You, Cowboy"
When the skies part open,
and the rain falls down
my throat screaming thunder,
and my hair whipped back:
I feel the power surge through with just
that look in your eyes
in the dark of the storm.
On your marvelous horse,
you step down to meet my hand
not caring that I'm soaked through
not noticing that I'm shivering cold.
You take off your jacket to protect me from
the stinging sleet, and kiss my head,
because you're that sweet.
You don't care about my past,
you don't mind at all about my history,
you just shelter me with your all empowering embrace
and put me on your horse to take me away.
Though I know you're cold,
I know you're taking the heat of the storm for me,
I'm still amazed at the grace and kindness that permeates from you.
As we ride back
to the warm fire of your home,
and the smell of sweet honey milk waiting
to be tasted by me;
I hold onto you tightly and close my eyes,
imagining the storm remains so I can be by your side.
When we're in front of the fire,
both shivering in our booties,
I smile at you and bathe in the love that
you have given to a complete stranger.
I reach for your hat on the table
and place it on my wet hair.
With a bend at the waist, and a flourish of the wrist,
I tip my hat to you, cowboy
and I thank you for all of your tender, loving kindness.

I agree! MFP needs a "like" button because I could put "like" on every one of these comments. You did an amazing job in your tribute to our cowboy! Thank you! And, Ed, we all love you and appreciate you much more than words could ever say! You encourage all of us from the youngest to the oldest (which is probably me! lol) and you make no difference in age, race, weight or anything else. You just tell us how beautiful and amazing we all are ... something that maybe some of us have not heard much in our lifetime. I for one love you dearly for it!!!!0
