Newish and finally able to introduce myself

Hi there, my name's Amalie and I joined MFP last Friday. I'm a mixture of different Asian descents (Philippino, Sri Lankan etc.) and upto around 4 years ago I could eat what I wanted, when I wanted to and never went above 110 lbs. It's changed since then even though I refused to aknowledge it and now here I am at 135 pounds (61.5 kg), quite squishy and definitely not fit. Heck sprinting 100m to not miss the train is a chore.
I've finally realised that I can't coast on my genes (Damn you genes!!!) and have decided to do something about my health. I've set myself a goal of losing a pound a week and getting fit. My goal weight is 113 pounds (51.5 kg). In order to do that I'm following the MFP recommended Net Calorie intake of 1200 and started doing the 30 Day Shred (I'm on Day 2/Level 1 today and as I mentioned in my very first post here I feel as if I've been run over by an elephant, or maybe even a horde of them).
Feel free to add me. I'd be happy for some company in this new journey of mine. I'll also need help staying focused since I'm a typical Taurus. I like to relax and enjoy the good life (and the food!).

I'm feeling squishy too. I'm half Asian, so I understand everything you are talking about it. I'm 5'5, 148. Set my goal for 125. Thank you for posting!0
