Just not hungry

I burn about 2000 calories a day from bike riding. I eat three meals a day and have a snack or two. I'm full, I'm coming in waaay under my calories for the day. Some days I even get some not so healthy food(breakfast from McDonalds) to help with that. Can anyone suggest a way for me to not be hungry? Oh, I'm 6'0 and I'm around 240 now.

Eat more calorie dense (healthy) food - then you don't have to increase the volume so much to increase calories.
For examples - nuts, trail mix, avocado, full fat yoghurt, cheese, steak, sweet potato, olive oil dressing, bananas.... easy!
  • Just make sure you're getting enough of the good stuff, and don't worry about the calories. Listen to your body.

Protein shakes. I've gotten into quite a plateau from not eating enough calories.

I wouldn't worry about it. You don't have to eat back your exercise calories if you got a full day's nutrition. The 1200 recommended mark is only to ensure that you eat enough food to get all the vitamins you need. It's not going to hurt you if you wipe out those calories with exercise.

I agree with the previous poster that you should just listen to your body. If you are exercising and eating regular, healthy meals, I wouldn't force feed yourself just to hit a benchmark.
