Pink Panthers--Week 1 Challenge

Hey girls! It's time to show them what we are made of! I copied and pasted the rules and the challenges for the following week. Please keep track of your daily exercises, plus your progress on these challenges. If you do not have time to get on here very long during the evening, please at least send me a message with your miles/progress every night so I can report to Jen. We can do this girls!!!!!!
Just as a refresher:
We will base everything on a points system:
For every mile that you run/walk/bike/swim/etc, you will earn 10 points for your team.
For daily nutrition challenges - each person on your team that completes the challenge will earn an additional 5 points for your team
For daily exercise challenges - each person on your team that completes the challenge will earn an additional 10 points for your team
Every day, the team captains will need to send me their team's total points for the day. I will maintain a spreadsheet for everyone to monitor the progress of the challenge.
For the exercise challenges - You choose if you use weights or not. This is all about pushing yourself to do something that you wouldn't ordinarily do, BUT we don't want anyone getting hurt. The main idea is to go DISTANCE. The Nutrition & Exercise challenges are EXTRA.

Saturday
Nutrition - At LEAST 10 cups (8oz) of water

Easy peasy! I think. lol I'll have to watch those videos, though the name seems to tell me exactly what I need to know. Crunches should be interesting. I don't think I've done one of those since High School.

I am going to try most exercise things but as for the windshield washer (on Saturday) type of exercise. I don't think my 45 year old 300lbs body is gonna let me do this. Sorry pinkettes. :blushing:
Right not my only exercise I really do is walking each day. This sure is going to push me.
As for water and nutrution I should be able to meed each them each day.

Yeah, miles won't be an issue. I usually go out 4 times a week and get in anywhere from 3.5 - 6 miles per trip. So anywhere from 14 - 24 miles each week from me
As for the other ones.... that looks a little more difficult than I was expecting :noway: But there's nothing against breaking the exercises down into small efforts throughout the day, so I think I can do it.
Right now I think my biggest challenge is drinking enough water on those 10 cup days. Sometimes I have trouble making it to 8.
And soonersgirl posted a reminder for us to send her a message with our numbers at the end of the night, so I think I'm gonna do that and keep everyone updated here.
You definitely have a good idea there. If everyone see it, it'll give me that much more reason to do great. :flowerforyou:
So for today I have completed the 50 crunches and am under on my calories by 355 (a bit too far under for my own liking. I'm just not hungry tonight.)0 -

I did the 50 crunches and my upper chest is mad at me now, I wonder how my tummy will feel tomorrow. LOL I did break it up and did 10 at a time. Since my body is not use to these types of exercise. I am under my cals also today. Ya!!!! I wish I could help you with your water.... i usually drink 12 to 14 cups a day. :laugh:
I tried tomorrows windshield wipers exercise and I cannot do it. SOrry guys. I hope some of you can get it done. I will drink my water and walk a few miles tomorrow to contribute with the points.

Hey my pretty pinkies You all got your points into me today and we all did so great!! I am so proud of all of us. I will send you messages and let you all know our total points for the day. So far so good ladies. I have all the faith that we can do this. I hope everyone had a fantastic day and accomplished some goals! Night Night friends!!!!!0

Quick question. Does anyone know if the miles we walk are broken down beyond 10 points? I just got home from 3.7 miles, but I don't want that 0.7 to go to waste just because it wasn't a complete mile. Or would the miles be added up at the end of the week before points were applied? I can deal with losing 0.5 at the end of the week, but 0.7 on a single trip would kinda suck. So yeah, just wondering. Because if they don't add up I'll just get my butt back out there and finish that mile.
And now I'm crossing my finger that I'll make it through the other challenges for today. Not doing too bad on water. It's 9 am and I'm on my 4th.0 -
I think just the full miles count...not too sure about that..since it was too late for me to add your miles from last night, I will put them on today. It all adds up the same. Good luck today girls I believe in us!!!!!!!0

Yes majikwon1961 this is a closed group. It is part of a huge 10 group challenge. Good luck in finding one. If you watch the threads a new challenge group pops up quite often.0

Awesome walk makonie :flowerforyou: Woot WOOT!!! Try and walk another .3 of a mile by the end of the day and make it 4 miles. I have faith in you. Even if you just walk in place at home or out in your yard.
:drinker: :drinker: I was going to cheer you on today about your water...you sound like you are doing GREAT!!!! :drinker: :drinker: Keep drinking. YOu are doing better than me I only have 3 in so far. I was out shopping and just got in the house.

I will get my water in and already walked 2 miles. Hopeing for another 1 or 2 by tongiht.

Not a problem soonersgirls, those miles are from this morning, so it's still accurate
And to keep it easy I'll just stick to even miles from now on.
TY bigmama, I forgot how much I drink during and directly after those walks. It was a big help. And don't worry about those wipers. I'm sure we can all put in a little extra effort to pick up on what our teammates can't get through. I'm sure we'll all need help at some point during this :flowerforyou:

My abs are not forgiving me for the half of the challenge that I completed, so it looks like I won't be finishing it this time around. I will get it next time though. I'll just have to start earlier in the day. But, on the plus side, I completed my water and got in 5 miles of walking today. I was going out to get 0.3 to make it 4, but then I just kept going. lol0

Ya!!! you got your water in today and you knew that was going to give you a hard time...but you did it. And an extra mile walking is awesome. You are working this challenge. Oh ya and thanks for posting it helps me stay motivated also.
I did drink 12 cup as of right now on to anther 2 or 3 before bed. So I did complete the water challenge also and I did get 3 miles of walking in today.

Hey guys, sorry about seeming late with everything, my days are jammed pack, and as much as I try to get online right away, it's generally not till 10pm bedtime that i can do it I did the crunches yesterday! It was hard, but I did them! Didn't get to do the wipers today though, tried, but the 30DS really took it out of me today. I drank all of my water though! That was fairly easy, as I am a labourer with the Dept of Transportation Monday through Friday, and I work as a Lifeguard on the weekends.... I drink lots of water as it is! It gets so hot out, it's impossible to work without drinking 3 or even 4 waterbottles a day! Sounds like everybody is doing well with the challenges! Keep up the good work0

Hey guys!! Well my lower back is STILL sore from those windshield wipers- whew , not sure if I will be doing those again or not. Anywho, plan on walking a mile on my lunch break and running when I get home tonight - will definitely meet the daily challenges as well - hope everyone had a great weekend and we can do this!!! Wow, that does sound like a pretty busy day for you missjaeda. I might go crazy attempting that. lol
And yeah, sailorsbabydoll I'm still sore from those windshield wipers, too. I actually had trouble getting out of bed yesterday because of that.
Yesterday wasn't such a great day for me. I didn't even attempt the extra exercise.
But, it's a new day, and reaching my first mini goal has me all pumped up, so I am back in the game0 -

Hoping everyone is well. I've been doing my best trying to at least complete the fitness/nutrition challenge. Haven't logged any miles lately, and haven't done my 30DS in two days. It's going to be another tough week. Not busy, just tough as two of my friends have lost their grandmothers. I'll keep you guys updated as I plan on continuing on with the challenges as best I can. Keep Calm and Carry On0

hey missjaeda....glad to know you are still here we need ya! i understand things come up...so just get me your points when you can. if you want to, go back the past few days and let me know what you did and i will add your points. it all goes into our final count anyway, so it doesn't matter
