I love rock climbing for toning. It works your whole body and is so much fun I forget it is exercise. I go to a local indoor rock gym.

Free weights are the best becaues you use muscles you are not a ware you are using by using them for stability and balance along with the core mucles you are focussing on...

with that said... when using machines, cable machines are best, then the other machines. Try to focus on machines that will work your triceps and sholders and chest, remember though, when you are focusing on one specific muscle group, remember to work its counter part too! so if you are working hard at your triceps (flappy under arms) then make sure you do your biceps to ( the popeye arms)

I have specifics I like to do if you wnat to hear about free weights, feel free to message me. HOpe this helps!

Pushups can be modified in a lot of ways to target your chest, back, and triceps. If you start with your hands together, that targets mainly your triceps (which obviously makes them harder). Your triceps and biceps are what give your arms the most definition. You can also do dips, pullups, shoulder rolls with barbells.... That covers what I can think of at the moment. I'm not a huge fan of weights in general, I mostly use body weight to tone, so others may have better input on weight training.

Well done for the weigh loss!

It's a popular myth that you can spot weight loss.

'Toning' as people call it, is just fat loss, building muscle, or a combination of the two.

For a beginner with no trainer, I'll always recommend the safety of machines. Use compound exercises for the best results, and assuming you're at a gym, they should show you how to use them as part of your induction(okay, I know they probably didn't, make them).

As with any beginner, exercise the whole body, three times a week for fastest gains
