What rates do you pay at LA Fitness (UK)?

I'm about to finish a six-week short membership of my local branch of LA Fitness in North London, so I'm going in to negotiate a longer membership.
I know there's some room to haggle, but I'd love to hear how much other UK MFP members pay - it'll give me more of an idea of how low I can potentially get the monthly rates down to.
I have no problem with signing up for a year, as I'm doing strength training three days a week alongside my more outdoor-oriented cardio and will be using the pool as part of triathlon training. (Plus, running machines are great if the pavements outside get icy later in the year).
So - what do you pay?
Thanks!

Awesome! How'd you do it?0 -
I really wasn't happy paying £39, it is too expensive for the facilities we have. So I said I was leaving to go to the other gym in town, and I really was prepared to go there, it's very basic but very cheap! Then LA asked if I would stay for £22 a month and I agreed as I do like it there, I just don't want to be ripped off!

Nice one.
My local gym's fairly well equipped, but I'm hoping to push a little based on the relative proximity of a couple of council-run gyms and on the insecurity of LA Fitness group (see http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/242641/LA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shapeLA-Fitness-struggles-to-get-its-figures-into-shape).
TBH, I'm prepared to go to £50, London gym prices being what they are, but I'm going to have a go at getting £40 or so.0 -

WOW! I just signed up in the US they had a special (I am sure they always have a special) If you pay for 2 years up front you get the third year free. With tax it was less than $800 (US) About $22 (US) per month or about 15 ueros or 13.4 british pounds. I hope you get a better deal!0
