My chest strap is irritating the crud out of me...Literally! I first started wearing my chest strap completely underneath my sports bra, and it was fine for a while, but then the transmitter part started rubbing on the bottom of my *ahem* breasts. So then I tried wearing the chest strap underneath my sports bra, but pulling the transmitter part out...Kind of tucking my sports bra inbetween my breasts and the transmitter...But then the bottom of the transmitter started rubbing on the skin right below where it was sitting (Is any of this making sense??). Has anyone else had this problem, and what should I do to fix it?? This morning I wore the transmitter out of the bra but tucked my shirt underneath the transmitter so it would block it from touching my skin. Geez-How confusing is all of this? :noway:

if you have a polar there is a sports bra you can get that has a spot for your transmitter so it is not bothering you. you can find them anywhere where the polars are sold pretty much, ebay, amazon, sports authority, etc, they are usaully $20-$35.

Get some BuhBump cream--apply liberally to the skin before putting on strap. Works great! You can get it from Amazon.com among other places. It's the same stuff they use in hospitals on the electrical leads they use and is designed to both soothe skin irritations and help the transmitter provide an accurate reading.

    Here's the link:

My chest strap bothers me at the same spot every time I wear it. No matter what I use or do it bugs me (sometimes I get blisters). I love my HRM and I just suffer through it.

The things we do to find out how many calories we burned. lol

I looked into the sports bra that has the part for HRM but they aren't supportive enough for my girls.

I know I didn't help you but you now know you aren't alone. Good luck! :flowerforyou:

see my post above--I've always used BuhBump cream and have had absolutely no problems at all. And, it has also taken care of "heat rash," which I usually get in the summer!

I have one those glide sticks, can't remember the name right now but the Running Room said it was their best one and it doesn't help. :frown:
It all started after I ran 10 miles one day and I have never been the same.

Maybe I'll look into this one. Thanks!

I haven't tried the Gel sticks but heard that the BuhBump cream is better because it's designed specifically for use with electronic type leads, etc. It's not oily feeling either.

I can't ever seem to get the chest strap for my Garmin to fit right, sad to say I've given up on it.
