Too much of...

Poretein? is that a bad thing to have too much protein? I canunderstand too much sodium, too much fat and too much carbs, but things like protein and fiber, I dont' get why too much of them is not a good thing...Anyone got any ideas?

    From what I've read if you are eating a lot it can put some stress on your kidney's and puts you at a bigger risk of dehydration.

    The rule of thumb I have seen everywhere is about 7 grams for every 20 lbs you weigh. You would have to really take in much more than this to put yourself in any kind of risk. Keeping things balanced is always the best way to go.

    makes sense. did not know proteing affects kidneys. I'll keep a watch on my intake...Thanks!

    Just stick with .5-1g of protein per lb of bodyweight if you don't know your bodyfat%.

    Keep it simple.
