I torqued my knee running and need to at least temporarily go to something lower impact. The stationary bike isn't cutting it for me. Anyone have feedback on a rowing machine?
Thanks!

Love the rowing machine! I used to do crew and we used to HATE dry land days, but the machine is a great way to get some cardio that also includes strength. Make sure you keep your back straight and get most of your force from your legs. It goes legs, back, arms, and reverse on the slide. That way you can go for longer and it works out your legs, glutes, and core.

I love the rowing machine, normally after 10 minutes (2000 meters) I'm done ... It is my favorite warm up machine, works everything including abs - Maybe watch a video on youtube of proper form for rowing. I got it wrong for sooooo long! :)
  • I use to spend 30 minutes on the rowing machine at resistance 10 but found it boring and never really felt energised after completing a session. Loved the step machine and treadmill but sounds like something you won't be able to use for sometime.

Hope your knee is on the mend :)

That's a GREAT tip. I have used the rowing maching at the gym but they never explained how to properly use it. Now i know from an expert! and I agree, great machine!

Elliptical is much lower impact than running. And it can be a hell-of-a workout. I am honestly too intimidated by the rowing machines to answer the question you actually asked.

I do rowing on the bowflew, i am not sure if it is the same. It is hard lol. but i am terrible with cardio. Another good exercise is seated air boxing. you can burn a lot of calories doing that.

C2 Rower is my favorite way to warm up entire body before a strength workout. It's also my favorite way to do HIIT. I usually stick to the elliptical for LISS or MISS cardio.
