The local blood bank runs a cholesterol screening (automatically now--for free) when you donate blood. It takes a few weeks to get the results, but I got them today!!
In Jan, my cholesterol was 204
In Jun, my cholesterol was 158
HOLY COW!! I am so impressed with myself over this! My cholesterol had been high for at least 2 years (that I knew of). Also, my latest blood pressure reading was 95/60.
It's nice. I feel like I am doing something right. My mom is 51 years old and is on 2 medications for cholesterol. Two of my uncles and my grandmother just had major heart attacks. I feel like I am being pro-active. I don't want to have heart attacks in my 50's!!
