Been eating 1200 calories a day for nearly a month now and i've lost around 3 pound. I'm not very active at all, i do an hour of HARD circuit training every week and then around an hour of extra walking and approx half an hour (in 5-10 minute bursts throughout the week) of other exercise such as skipping/jumping jacks etc.
I'm going away next week, but when i come back i REALLY want to kick the exercise up a level, doing about 45-60 mins of fast walking (i cannot stand jogging!) everyday, 30 mins of zumba 3/4x a week, 30 mins of wii fit 3/4x a week, the hour of circuit training and alot of basic muscle workouts. I know that this still isn't a lot of hard exercise like i know alot of you are doing, but i really struggle with motivation.
My question is, can i start eating more like 1400 calories a day next week? Im quite anxious about eating more calories because so far i've hardly lost anything, but maybe the calorie restriction is why? I've seen alot of people recently upping their calories and saying that it helps, what do you all think? I should be doing alot of hiking and swimming next week too.. thanks!

I say add you exercise and it will automatically give you more calories. Eat those, but don't add any extra yourself.

Try upping it to 1400 next week, do as much hiking and swimming as you can and enjoy your break. Weigh in when you get back, and adjust if necessary. And your planned new exercise schedule sounds great - I too am a little overawed by what some people on here are doing! I will send you a friend request, so if you want to accept we can encourage each other. Have a great week!
