Okay so I use the Bodymedia product but i dont log my foods into it because I really like this program better. But, i do continue to use it to keep track of my calories out, i.e., steps taken and calories burned.

My question is - how do you guys log your steps? Like my BM says that i have burned 2393 calories throughout the day with little exercise, how would i convert that here. Hummmm any suggestions?

I personally wouldn't log anything but actual exercise. If you've gone on a very brisk walk, intentionally walking at a pace to raise your heart beat then count it, but if you've just worn it to do your cooking, walk up the stairs, go to the shop etc. I wouldn't count this .

MFP adds all that in for you. It's under settings or tools or something. I just looked at mine the other day when I was changing some of my goals!

I am NOT an expert, but it is to my undertsnading that when you enter your inforamtion in to MFP they take in to consideration all of your information, including activity level, so they calculate a daily burn for you. Then you add the extra effort you put in to your day. Do what works for you. That's just my two cents worth. :flowerforyou:

I just got the body media as well. I don't think those calories get added into this program as a burn. MFP estimates from height/weight your daily calorie output and then gives you a goal that will allow you to lose weight. After a little bit, you'll see what your daily burn is and you can adjust the starting point on MFP to get a perosnalized goal for weight loss, but it's not technically burn.
