Silly NSV....

So, today I took my 21 month old grand daughter to a play factory which is an indoor play yard (I am in AZ which is too hot to play outside). We played in the bounce house, climbed the structures, etc.

Before MFP, I would never have been able to keep up with her or fit through the equipment. Today I fit through it all just fine!!! I kept up with her and all the other little kids. Even had a strange 3 year old boy say I was cool and would I slide with him... his mom was just too busy texting to climb up the giant stairs and slide with him.

I know it's a silly NSV, but I did it. Did I mention I was in jeans, too? They are so loose now they fall off without a belt, but it sure was fun to play so hard with the little kids and feel so good about me!

Lovin this!

Why was the little boy strange? LOL, did he have a fluffy mouse with him by chance? Excellent job, these little things really boost morale. Congratulations.

LOL nope, he wasn't eating your yogurt with emergen-c... (fluffy mouse)...
I guess I meant he was a "stranger"... he didn't know me, I didn't know him.
But he sure thought I was neato... made me feel awesome!

I was really the only "parent" there doing stuff with my kid and other kids... everyone else was on their cell phone or chatting up other "parents".

Not silly at all... One of the things I do regret a bit is not getting the weight off when the kids were younger. I always played with them but it was always board games or indoor imaginary games, nothing too physical.

NSV = Non Scale victory. A way to measure your new self without the scale!

They are better than the scale... especially when they mean I get to play again!

Next thing I'ma try is skateboarding. Been a long time, but wanna skate again!
