So walk and do things that aren't uncomfortable until you get to your goal so you can have the surgery.
You can do this!
I have trouble with jumping both because I am top heavy but also because I have problems with my achilles tendons... so I have to modify exercise around those two issues. but I still work out and eat right because I know I can reach that goal and get what I want.
You can too.
Good luck and keep your chin up. It'll happen.0 -
Absolutely! Don't give up just because of a bad week. Have you tried doubling up on the sports bra? Sometimes I wear a sports bra, and then a sports tank with a built in bra over it. It's just some added support. My girls aren't that big, but I still have pain when I bounce a lot. So the extra layer helps that. Try doing other activities (like the other poster said) that aren't so jumpy. You can get a great burn doing walking on hills, or on the elliptical.
Your breasts will probably get smaller as you lose weight too, which will take some pressure off.
I know it's frustrating when you feel like you're facing obstacles, but there are so many great tools and people on MFP to offer support, ideas, etc. Please don't give up on yourself! You'll feel so much better when you stick with it and keep on doing great things for yourself!
This is a life long process, so a bad week isnt' the end. You pick yourself up, find a solution and keep on plugging. Because you are SO WORTH IT!0 -
I completely understand how you feel. I am quite large chested (size G) and I can't do any kind of pure jumping exercises. It is super frustrating to try and work out and not be able to physically complete an exercise because of the girls. I combat this issue I look for exercise videos that offer alternative for jumping exercises. One of the biggest loser videos has a great alternative for jumping jacks! For jogging I wear 2 and sometimes 3 sports bras so hold the girls tight to my body and keep them from bouncing and hurting. Don't let the girls keep you from exercising just find an alernative that works for you!
Good luck!0 -
I understand your frustration all to well. I was told the same thing a few years ago and I had my reduction this past january. It was the best thing that I could have ever done for myself. There were many days of sheer anger and frustration and tears but in the long run it all worked out. It will for you too.
The best thing I can say is to start on the elliptical and walk on the treadmill with an incline. Eventually you will work up to running on the treadmill. Not only for the sake of your shoulders and back but I found that walking saved my knees adn hips too until I lost a bit of weight and could run.
Next, get a great sports bra. Stay away from front buckles! The best I found were Best Fit brand at walmart. They buckle in the back and have underwire like a regular bra but has the front of a sports bra. I found the underwire helped to keep "the girls" lifted and seperated which helped with the pulling on my shoulders and neck where reguar sports bras had zero support and were painful at time.
Keep you chin up and know that the doctor is looking out for your best interest. You will get where you need to be and you will be thankful. Best of luck and send me a friend request if you would like.

Do you have access to a pool? You could swim and you wouldn't have that imact.0

I'm in a similar boat as you and for years I cried over my large chest, I was a size C in 4th grade and its gotten worse and worse - I think I am an F now. For a long time I wore two sports bras and then went up to three and it just got to be too much. About five years ago, I found these specialty sports bras, the brand is called Enell and they are AMAZING. It has changed my life. They are kind of expensive (around 60) but I have the same one I bought 5 years ago (I have others now too, don't worry!). They really help the bounce and I feel like I can run again.0

Good thing is exercise is not needed to lose weight.
Weight loss is 80% diet.
Perfect diet + exercise = phenomenal results.0 -
I've never been over a 38B (even while breast feeding) so I can't feel your pain, but odds are they will get smaller as you lose weight. Then if you still want a reduction when you are at a weight the doc feels comfortable with, go for it.0

I second or third the advice for a great sports bra.... they are totally worth the money. You can MOVE without pain or discomfort.0
