I hate when...

People who are WAY bigger than me tell me that it's ok to stay the way I am. Like yes, I realize I don't "look" that bad and that I don't need to be a skinny-mini to be beautiful, but that's not it for me. I want to lose weight because my eating habits are VERY unhealthy and I feel like, when people like this one person in particular that I'm referring to tell me something like that, that they're only encouraging their own unhealthy lifestyles. Like as long as someone else is like them, then it's ok. I know she meant well by saying what she said, but it's just super irritating. It's NOT ok to stay the way I am. If I stay the way I am (eating pizza every other night at work, pasta all the time, never touching a fresh vegetable, eating burgers and ice cream every day, never exercising, sitting with my butt in front of the tv all day) I'm gonna be dead by the time I'm 50! However I don't feel like she was realizing that I'm not just trying to lose weight so I can be "skinny." I'm trying to lose weight and eat healthier so I can feel better, I can be more physically active, and so that I can keep up with my marine when he comes home.

Anyone else ever feel this way??

I hate when my super skinny mother says she would trade places with me in a heart beat. She won't even wear a bathing suit (I haven't seen her in one in YEARS) because she has been asked by people if she is anorexic. She is not...she is just super thin. I guess we all have body issues?

I have read that heavy friends aren't good for one while dieting! I think that is true in some cases!!

Misery loves company. People usually dont want to see you improve yourself!

as i just posted in another topic....

i think people sometimes feel insecure about themselves especially when they see others trying to get healthy. it makes them feel worse about themselves not having the will to do it.

Yeah I pretty much think that's how she feels. Like she doesn't want to see her fat friends try and lose weight because she knows she's not going to...>.<
