Now that Im on track to be healthy and fit, Ive given up the fatty, salty, and sweet foods that were unhealthy. Its fun to discover new healthy foods, but its also a challenge. I'd love to know everyone's favorite healthy food discoveries. What healthy snacks have you found to replace the bad-for-you ones? What food or recipes are new staples in your diet?

I'll start: A friend recently introduced me to Pictsweet Steamables Edamame. They are lightly salted with seasalt, and its now one of my favorite foods! You get it in the frozen foods section, they come in one-serving containers. They are packed with protein and only 110 calories a pop. They steam in the microwave in only 3 minutes.

Looking forward to hearing about all of yall's yummy new foods!

I love edamame in the single serve pouches! I get mine at Costco, not sure what the actual brand is.

My new go to food are FRUIT (if I am craving sweet) and Quaker popcorn rice cakes (if i want salty). Who knew a rice cake could be satisfying?! :-)

It really used to be a chore every day eating nuked frozen vegetables for lunch. I used to try to put sauces on them, and what not. Now I look forward to my big bowl of broccoli and spinach, and it tastes good with nothing added!

If I am craving something sweet and can't afford the calories, i make myself a weight watchers hot chocolate with Skim milk and if i am craving something salty i opt for rice crackers over chips. Fruit is good too and carrot sticks (or baby carrots) with hummus! Yummy :)
