Any VSGers on here?

I had VSG surgery on May 20 of this year and am down 64 pounds (that includes 28 pound lost on my pre-op diet). Til now I haven't been tracking my food or calories, just following the VSG rules. But this past week I started adding crappy food to my diet (M&M's) and subsequently had a tiny loss this week.

TIny loss is better than no loss, but I want to get myself back in gear so I am going to be tracking my intake on MyFitnessPal. I'd love to hear from other VSGers!

Good job on coming here to get back on track! I had gastric bypass in 1995 (not the same, but the same idea). VSG (like any bypass) is ONLY a tool - and tools don't work if not used correctly. PLEASE, if you take one thing from me, know that you WILL gain your weight back if you start back with eating crap. While it may be just a small loss today, it will be a "small gain" later (if you keep it up). Train yourself NOW to follow the rules. It will make it much easier down the line.

I know you are so right. That is why I wanted to nip it in the bud now.

A lifestyle change is what is required to lose and keep it off. I know I can still blow it by making bad choices. What I did this past week was a wake up call to me that they really MEAN it when they say "it's just a tool."
