i am wondering if i am logging my exercise calories right. i went for a bike ride today and (for some unknown reason) continued to check my heart rate (on hrm) for several minutes after i finished. it took about 10 minutes for it to get below the 65% range, i assume because of the heat. do i count the calories i burned after completion of exercise but before return to resting heart rate?
thanks in advance for your input.

but I would just count the calories burned during the workout! when you are done working out, check HRM = calories burned! In my opinion, but I don't have a HRM so idk what other people do !

I let my heart rate get to 15 above my normal resting heart rate and count the cals until then...but that's just me. Not sure if it's right or wrong..but feels go to me.. Good Luck!0

I usually stop the monitor when I drop below about 120 - the bottom target range for me.
This is simply because I would rather burn more than I think I have than let it run and record an inaccurate count.
I don't think I need to do this quite so early but don't actually know for sure!
I think there are other threads about this.
Interested to hear from others.0
