How many calories did I burn? HELP!

Well, it's week 2 for me and tomorrow will be the start of week 3. I'm down almost 6 pounds and I'm pretty happy about that... but there's a lot of stuff that's still confusing for me. I think I've managed to figure out that I need to eat my exercise calories... LOL... but I'm trying to accurately enter my exercise!!! I want to keep my net calories each day where MFP says they should be so I can stay on track, but my problem arises when I have no earthly idea how many calories I've burnt doing a workout. For example, this morning I did Bootcamp and we're actually moving for about 50 minutes. It's kind of like circuit training, that's the best description I can give. We do weights, resistance, squats, burpees, lunges, and all sorts of other things that make me feel like I'm going to puke! Haha! Anyway, I don't know how many calories I'm burning! So, I'm asking for suggestions, help, tips... anything! Thus far I've looked at about 4 different websites claiming to have accurate calorie burning calculators and they all gave me different counts. Sigh. Not to mention, when I do a workout at the gym for cardio and the machine doesn't work or when I go for a simple walk I really can't figure it out. Ok, enough venting... I need answers! Please and thank you from a newbie! =)

    You should looking to getting a good heart rate monitor with a chest strap....for me, its the only way to get anywhere near accurate. A good one will let you program your age, height, weight, gender, v02, max heart rate etc... I use a POlar FT7 which was about $75 on Amazon. If you belong to a gym, they will often do tests for you with an HRM.

    I teach a boot camp type class and unless you're doing some serious cardio, then the burn would be between 400-600 calories per hour. Strength training doesn't burn a lot of calories, but the benefits of raising your resting metabolic rate can't be matched by steady state cardio.

    I'm glad someone helped you out., I kind of had the same question, .I was wondering how accurate the info I input is correct. I'm also on my second week of exercise and MFP

    seems to be that almost everyone suggest getting a polar ft7,4 or 6 for the HRM.

    I do bootcamp too its hard but bloody worth it dont u think?? anyway depending on the session and what u do and how much effort u put in, my sessions i manage to burn between 400-600 cals in one session so i created my own bootcamp exercise on here and did one at 400 and one at 600 hundred so u know what one to pick depending on what u do and how much effort u put into that session!!!

    Iif ur really unsure ask ur instructor, thats what i did and the answer i gave u was the answer he gave me!!!
