Hi, I'm new to MFP and calorie counting. I am very inconsistent with exercise and need help staying motivated. I had a bad day yesterday as far as calories go so today I'm struggling with getting back on the band wagon. I have been losing 2 lbs a month but lost 5 lbs last month afteer starting to track calories. My dr. told me I have set a precedence for myself and she expects to see this result monthly. What pressure!

it is a slow process....but thats a good thing we learn and get used to a new lifestyle.....keep logging it really helps(even if you have bad days be honest)....today is a new day start fresh...if you exercise up the amount by a few minutes every time....it helps...good luck

Everyone has a bad day at times. I personly think loosing weight is mentaly tough. It takes something to make your brain snap and say thats it. For me it was diabetes that gave me a big kick up the behind. Your state of mind i believe to be the most important factor in loosing weight and getting back on the band wagon so to speak. The human mind is a powerfull thing so we need to use it to our advantage.

Welcome to MFP. I LOVE it here. As long as I log in & keep track daily. I feel that is progress. I started my weighloss journey 2 mos. ago. I am not always on GOOD days. LOL! but thanks to the motivation, encouragement & support I recieve on here I keep going.

I think you will love it here as well & recieve all the support you need. You can do it! Everyday won't be great. Just keep going & it will happen for you. : )

Just take it a day at a time. I have been trying to get this together for a long time but it still works for me. I usually lose .5 a week because I am not as consistent with exercise as I should be but I still plan out my days every morning. Some work, some don't. Just remember, you are creating a new lifestyle for yourself and we are not perfect! Just shake off the bad days and celelbrate the good ones.
