I wanna buy bathroom scales. Have seen some versions of brand called Camry.
the scales giving body fat % and hydration % are these reliable I mean should I go 4 body fat monitor or just simple scales. The body fat and hydration monitor is 50% expensive. So is it worth to invest

I have one of the Tanita scales. It is great for weight but all over the place for body fat and I find it pretty much useless for that. It is highly dependent on status of hydration and which setting I use......athlete or regular. Athlete per the instruction manual is defined as 10 or more hours per week of aerobic activity. I may not be quite that much. If I use the athlete setting and am hydrated I can get a reading as low as 21%. If I use the regular setting and in the am before eating or drinking I can get reading as high as 33-34% body fat. So to me its not very useful although theoretically if measured under the exact same set of circumstances periodically it might be useful for overall trend.0
