Struggling and Staying Still

I've been sitting about 1Kg (2.2 pounds) away from goal for... oh... I don't know. MONTHS! Just can't seem to get there and feel like giving up! What's worse, is that I can't seem to stay on track anymore! Where did my awesome will power and determination go? I'm starting to binge eat and am losing sight of my goal weight and just when I'm so close! Spring is just around the corner and Summer not long after. Why am I self sabotaging???!

Have you ever lost sight of your goal? What did you do to get back on track and stay there? HELP!

  • It's so hard, especially when you're so close but you're not seeing the results you want. I just took a week off because I was having such a hard time staying motivated. But here I am! If you're having issues, try taking a week off. Not necessarily to binge eat, but to not have such strict food guidelines. Let your body relax a little bit.

Hi, try changing your routine, do something new, like try a new exercise class, this will probably give your body the kick start it needs to get back on track. I found that when I do the same things all the time I come to a grinding holt with my weight loss, so every now and again I'll do an extra class at the gym or trying something new and this usually gets me started again. Hope this helps. :)

Simply put - Snap Out of It!!!!! seriously.....remember how far you've come and where you do not want to go back to. As advised, change things up. I don't recommend taking a week off though - it is too hard for that to turn into a month. Anytime I hit a plateau (and I suffered through over 6 months of plateau recently), I treat it like a maintenance phase. I mean, once you reach your goal, you will have to maintain. You are in this for the long term, right? So, if you aren't losing, you need to maintain until your body resets and then you'll lose again. Snap out of it!!! and don't ever give up.

Actually when I got close to my goal I started exercising more and I was so eager to get there and now that I'm at my goal for almost two months all I worry is getting ripped and that's what you should do, keep exercising more and make your body dreamable for everyone :-)
