Losing 20 lbs was just the pre-season

It's been a few days since Real Madrid, Manchester United and now Barcelona football teams are playing pre-season games in the USA. During Saturday's Barca lost to Man U I had this revelation: Real winners work hard even before they are really required to have any results. Pre-season matches have a rap for being soft and respectful, you don't try too hard and don't play with all starting players but the mere fact they are here playing these games, that are very competitive I might add, is proof that to be a winner there's a lot of practicing before they go on and play for real.
So losing 20 was just my pre-season.
I'm shocked with how much my metabolism has slowed down over the last few weeks. I know I've been the first to think in my mind 'no whining, please just get your butt moving and you'll be ok' when I hear somebody blame their metabolism, or their thyroid or genes or carbs. But I've been sitting like deer in the headlights for the last few days trying to understand why and trying to figure out what am I going to do?
And then I watched the game and thought to myself, if losing 20 was just the warming up this means it's only going to get harder. I'm going to get smaller and will burn less calories as I'm not carrying as much weight. I will also burn less calories as my heart get efficient. Social pressure to not overdue it will increase. So I'm now convinced that to lose another 60 I need to be dedicated. Practice. Execute. I will lose a few games (stop losing or gain weight). But like that newsweek article says a real winner wins the mental battle. So I will find a way to have metal toughness and be one of the few that make it to their goal weigh and stay there for a couple of years, this means for life.
Here's my championship line up:
Pre-Season: Losing 20 lbs
League Champion: <200
Continental Champion: <180
World Champion: <160
I'm sharing because I know I'm not the only one that has hit the wall in this journey and maybe you needed to hear this or even better have something else to add to my reasoning. Thank you.

I hope you are going for Man U...lol. Good prespective but as a college Football fan, my World Championship would be equivalent to winning the BCS Championship game in January.0
