I am a stay at home mom when not teaching classes. I have a HRM and I log my exercise classes/walking the dog with it and I have myself at sedentary. I'm on the computer a lot, but also cleaning the house/errands etc. Am I sedentary or lightly active? It makes a big difference with my daily calories!

i'd say lightly active. i've found that even at "very active" MFP underestimates.

I have the same type of confusion. While I work as an RN, my jobs are nightshfit and very sedentary. BUT I run 3x/week, weight train 2-3x/week, and do cardio 3-4x/week. So am I sedentary as the description is based on my job or do I upgrade that to slightly active?

I used to have very active...and I'd also put my calories from workouts in...then I was told that was counting them TWICE and I shouldn't do that. So I moved myself to sedentary since I spend a lot of time on the computer. When I'm not at the computer I'm making beds, laundry, vacuuming, running errands, tidying up after my two children! LOL! But I'm also sitting a lot. It adds quite a few calories if I go up to lightly active. I've been kind of losing...but still wonder if I need to eat more? I'm mostly muscle which takes a lot of calories to maintain, right? I can't eat all my calories back though now if I try..so maybe this is moot. LOL! I dunno!
