How much different are the moves from Turbo Jam vs Turbo Fire? I have Turbo Jam and LOVE it. Lost all my baby weight after my first born using Turbo Jam and the treadmill. I am trying to get back in the grove of things and get my last 8 pounds off from baby #2 (just turned 1 today!) AND get an extra 10-15 off. I thought maybe a new set of workout dvd's would do the trick! :-) I really want to get the new Turbo Fire but would like to know if she incorporates the old moves with new ones in the Turbo Fire or if Turbo Fire is a lot of jump moves. I have one kinda bum knee and don't know if I like it if there is a ton of jumping. I can do some just not 45 minutes of it. Any insite would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

I can't jump either without hurting myself, so I've wondered about both programs. I wanted turbo fire, but now I'm not sure I'm ready if it's a lot of jumping. Is turbo jam lighter on the jumps?

The great thing about Turbo Fire is "Allie" she modifies everything done to low impact so even if Chalene is jumping you don't have to. And Chalene says it throughout the DVD's make it your workout, do what you can. I personally love Turbo Fire and have had great success with it. Let me know if you have any other questions

I've done TJ for a long time now...TF definitely kicks it up a notch, BUT, wow...I feel that kick-up! Different way of using your muscles for different combinations (sometimes the TF combinations are hard to "get", but I just started it, so that will come with practice, I'm guessing). Some of the good ole TJ moves are still used in TF too though, so there WOULD be some familiarity!!

I love TurboFire esp the HIIT workouts. Chalene shows you different ways to do each exercise, so if you have bad knees you can opt for lower impact versions.

The HIIT workouts have a lot of jumping, but man they are AWESOME at burning some quick calories!

I personally would recommend TurboFire! It's really fun and the music is great!
  • Hey there!
I am also a turbo lover. I have both the old and the new and there are pro's and con's to fire. It is amazing but it his pretty hard on the joints (my ankle) I modify most of the moves but it still causes swelling if I go too hard so I have not been able to do the full round of fire. I mix and match the work outs that I can do and have gotten amazing results. Yes she does use alot of the old moves but the combos are new. There is a new to class feature that breaks everything down which is also very helpful! all in all fire is amazing and that is my final vote! Heres to your success!

ladygloria, there is little to no jumping in the turbo jam!

Ok ladies, thanks so much for the comments! I am going to just go for it! I found a website online that is selling it for only $60 brand new and the real deal so that made my decision a little easier too! :-D Hopefully in a few months I will have some awesome before and after pictures! :-D

It won't come with a free coach to answer questions and quide you, it also won't have the same backing you get from Beachbody.

Thats ok. I have coaches here ;-) And they offer a 90 day on the dvd's so as long as the dvd's all work great and I still get everything that the "real" one comes with I am going to go for it as it is only half the price! Can't beat that. Thanks for checking for me!
