Water

Hey Guys,
On the MFP diary there is an option to enter the amount of water you have drunk in the day.
It asks you how many glasses of water you have had.
What do you count as a glass?
I drink bottled water so would you count a 500ml bottle as one or two 'glasses'?
fankoo x x x

One glass is 8oz.0

8 oz is a glass =]0

It says 8 oz is equal to one glass. I wondered the same thing since I have been using a 24oz sports bottle.0

It actually says 'cup' which is 8oz. so you're 500 ml bottle would be 2 cups of water.0

1 cup of water is 8oz.
500ml of water is 16.9oz
So add 2 'cups' of water per bottle of water (assuming it's 500ml) in size.
cheers!0 -
I measure it as 2 glasses - I've always thought around 200 ml is a glass.0

Typically, I count 1 bottle of water (16.9 fl oz, 500 ML) as just 2 glasses of water. It is technically a little more than 2 glasses (1 glass is 8 oz) but a little extra water over your 8 glasses a day will not harm you in any way!0

1 cup = 8 oz. The recommended amount is 8 cups. This would equal 4 16oz water bottles.
I typically drink 5-7 16.9oz water bottles a day and refill the bottles. This is 80-120oz of water a day.0 -
Thanks everyone x0

8oz=one cup (glass)
woops. should have read the replies first!0 -
I drink one gallon per day, which is equivalent to 16 glasses.... :flowerforyou:0

I try to drink 8-8oz glasses a day. Trying to be better about it!0

500ml is 2 cups, a cup appears to be an actual measurement in America (which is why it's so good for baking when your scales are broken) I use a 1litre bottle which is 4 cups and that's the only thing I'll drink out of now becaue it's so easy to tell how much I've drunk, while my actual cups are all different sizes. I have coffee cup that are probably only 0.25 of a cup :P mmm espresso though!0

To the lady that replied that she drinks a gallon a day, do you think that might be TOO much water?0
-
I'm actually drinking at least 4 liter bottles of water. It took me a minute to realize that I was drinking 16+ glasses a day. But as soon as I saw my bottle empty, I would refill again. It gets better as you go along.0
