So MFP has me set at a little over 2000 for fat loss. Thats fine i eat back my calories and everything. But i wore my heart rate monitor to work the other day ( i unload semi trucks) and within the 8 hours i spent (according to it) 2300 cals. I did all the testing at the gym to make my HRM custom to me so i know its right but should i eat them back?

Ask if more details are needed.

  • Depends on how much weight you want to loose. Do you exercise otherwise?
  • Depends, when you fill out your "goal" section it asks about your day to life. If you set it at seditary (which it isnt) then eat SOME of them back- because you'd burn even lying on the couch. BUT if you answered this section correctly and said you have an active job, then do not eat any of them back. They have already been accounted in 2,000 calories a day goal.

I usually ate my calories back unless I was absolutely not hungry. If you're burning 2,300 calories at work, you should proabably eat some of those back since you would be at a negative calorie total - burning more than you eat.
