Does anyone use psyllium husks for regularity and, if so, what has been your experience so far?

I don't, but my hubby does and they help him out tremendously! He started using them about 3 weeks ago, and he said he started noticing results within the first couple days of taking it.

Psyllium husks and I have been friends for YEARS! :blushing: And, yes they have helped me out tremendously as well. They are a great soluble fiber, combines in the intestine to form a gel of sorts....hold onto things including cholesterol and eases the process!

I've used metamucil products, both powders and cookie like wafers as well as just plain generic psyllium from my whole foods/nutrtion type stores. All works well. But really start slow and make sure you drink 8 ounces of water for each dose.

With me it takes effect usually the next day. :drinker:

    Best of Luck!

Wow, your looking great by the way. I used to, but I found they bloated me.
Other solution: In my case I realized I wasn't eating enough hard food to give me enough fiber ( and 2 liters of water a day) so I make sure I eat a carrot or apple, hard vegetables and fruits....
Being bunged up sucks and is not healthy...

Thanks ladies, I have a tub from Trader Joes and I've been considering incorporating them into my daily diet to keep my colon moving in the right direction.

i have been using it since my childhood it has no side effects and very good for bowels and stomach for constipation, acidity, loose stomach, and even it helps to loose weight as it clears the bowels and reduces cholesterol.

but i heard the sugary versions in market dont go for tht. if u have Pakistani store nearby go for Marhaba or Hamdard

about the bloating part yes if u r constipated for than 2 days and u take of it u may feel but its temparary.
