I definitely understand. Where I used to work a friend asked if I wanted to be in a group to lose weight and I refused since I wouldn't reveal my weight and frankly I would do the same again now in a work situaltion. It has taken me awhile on here but I do reveal my weight here too. I am even in challenges that have mostly members that have less to lose and I have been going ahead and posting my current and goal weights. It has something to do with having the confidence that I am going to lose it eventually. Now if I was just sure I am really out of this plateau I would roar too. Congrats on your progress.

Good for you. Now that my max weight is 123 pounds behind me, I can talk about it. But at the time I sure as heck didn't want it to be a topic of conversation. Denial was my friend. lol

    You are awesome!

I'm like you... I never wanted to talk about what I weigh. I didn't mind saying how much I had lost, but didn't want to talk about the dirty secret that was my starting weight or heaven forbid, my current weight. :ohwell:

Dr. Phil says, "You can't change what you don't acknowlege." I love that.. he is so right. So like you, I am owning my weight and losing it!

Keep going Betsy, we are all here applauding and cheering you on!

  • Sorry to seem silly here, but i dont know what an NSV is? it's probably something hideously obvious, lol. I'm new and just feeling my way around here :-)

Good work! It wasn't that long ago that I also would not admit my real weight. You've made a fantastic breakthrough, and I know you're going to be very successful! Thanks for posting!

    Means non-scale-victory.
Don't worry. I didn't know for the longest time either.
